The Amesbury HIgh School students are taking a writing class taught by Northern Essex Community college teacher Therea DeFranzo and are doing a service learning project which includes learning about food insecurity and conducting a food drive to help families affected by the gas explosions. They're working in conjunction with the Amesbury Public Library, which will be offering information about food insecurity and collecting dropoff items.
