BRYAN EATON/Staff photo. Someone with good athletic skills was able to climb this statue of Josiah Bartlett in downdown Amesbury to put a mask on his face reminding to stay safe during the coronavirus outbeak. Bartlett was born in Amesbury in 1729 and was delegate to the Continental Congress for New Hampshire, and signatory of the Declaration of Independence which we celebrate tomorrow. He died in 1795 in Kingston, N.H.
