Reid was the "Barefoot Boy" who did the ribbon cutting and the ladies, cousins, sang with their friend Chrisjean Whitten Tiberti, who now lives in Florida. Reid, from South Hampton, N.H. is Poet John Greenleaf Whittier's great-great-great grandnephew, was at the dedication of the new bridge and his grandson, Reid Jackson Langlois, 3, helped cut the ribbon.
