West Newbury: Aida Gross , a student at the Paige School, looks on as Sergeant Daniel Cena and Officer Eric Forni of the West Newbury Police Department speak with students about how to stay safe while out Trick-o-Treating next Monday. As part of an ongoing outreach effort to strengthen police relationships with younger residents in town, Cena and Forni spoke about 'stranger danger', inspecting candy, and reporting crimes and vandalism to adults and the police. At the end of the presentation, students were given battery operated glow sticks to take with them on their annual Halloween trek for candy. The glow sticks were purchased through the generosity of Osram Sylvania -- the firm where Cena's wife, Janet, works - with money from the Kenny Fowler Car Show Fund. Jim Vaiknoras/Staff photo
